Xabier García de Albéniz, MD, ScM, PhD is a Senior Research Epidemiologist at RTI-HS with a background in oncology, epidemiology, and biostatistics. Dr. Garcia de Albéniz did his MD in the University of Navarra (Spain). He trained as clinical oncologist in Barcelona, during which time he pursued a Master’s degree in biostatistics. He obtained a PhD in Medicine from the University of Barcelona and a Master of Science with a concentration in Epidemiology from the Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. García de Albéniz has worked for 7 years within the Program on Causal Inference, Department of Epidemiology, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where he maintains an affiliation as Visiting Scientist. He currently collaborates on a number of academic research projects in the field of cancer comparative effectiveness and development of methods for cancer research with the Mongan Institute Health Policy Center in Boston and the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. García de Albéniz is part of the Epidemiology group and provides oncology and methodologic expertise to RTI-HS.
