Julia Vila Guilera, PhD, is a Research Epidemiologist in the Pharmacoepidemiology and Risk Management group in Barcelona, Spain, with RTI-HS. Dr. Vila Guilera has a background in bioengineering and was trained in mathematical modelling of infectious diseases. She obtained her MSc and PhD from University College London, where she conducted research projects investigating multiple social and environmental determinants of population health outcomes. She has experience in designing and executing primary data collection fieldwork studies, as well as conducting statistical analyses of secondary data. Prior to joining RTI-HS, Dr Vila Guilera worked as an epidemiology analyst, designing pharmacoepidemiologic studies with a focus on the use of real-world evidence and causal inference methods.
