Michelle Brown, PhD, is a Senior Director of Patient-Centered Outcomes Assessment at RTI-HS. Dr. Brown has more than 20 years of experience in consumer, patient, and physician primary research. She has considerable experience in both qualitative and quantitative research design and implementation, instrument development, and analysis. Dr. Brown also has extensive experience moderating focus groups and conducting in-depth interviews among a broad range of patient and caregiver populations, physician types, and therapeutic areas such as depression, schizophrenia, fibromyalgia, lupus, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, dermatology, and other rare diseases. She has conducted patient studies in the assessment of perceived treatment benefit and satisfaction, symptom burden, and health-related quality of life. Some of her recent work has been published in the Journal of Attention Disorders, Journal of Managed Care Pharmacy, Gynecologic Oncology, Haemophilia, and the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.
