Hasan Basarir, PhD, is a Director of Health Economics at RTI-HS. He has more than 11 years of experience in conducting economic analyses in health care and extensive experience in decision analytic modelling, statistical analysis, discrete-choice experiments, and patient reported outcomes. Dr. Basarir was involved in HTA submissions in both the public and private sector, and has served as a member of a NICE Evidence Review Group. He has worked in therapeutic areas including diabetes, multiple sclerosis, radiology, ulcerative colitis, asthma and oncology. He is the Vice Chair of the Diabetes UK Clinical Study Group and a member of ISPOR and HTAi. Dr. Basarir has published his work extensively in some of the leading journals in the field, including The BMJ, The Lancet, Medical Decision Making, Value in Health, and PharmacoEconomics. He also acts as a reviewer for NIHR HTA and academic journals.
