Hasan Basarir, PhD, is a Director of Health Economics at RTI-HS. He has more than 12 years of experience in conducting economic analyses in health care and extensive experience in decision-analytic modeling, statistical analysis, discrete-choice experiments, and patient-reported outcomes. Dr. Basarir has been involved in health technology assessment submissions in both the public and private sectors and has served as a member of an Evidence Review Group at the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence in the United Kingdom. He has worked in therapeutic areas, including diabetes, multiple sclerosis, oncology, radiology, ulcerative colitis, asthma, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. He is the Vice Chair of a Diabetes UK clinical study group and a member of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research and Health Technology Assessment International. Dr. Basarir has published his work extensively in some of the leading journals in the field, including The BMJ, The Lancet, Medical Decision Making, Value in Health, and PharmacoEconomics. He also acts as a reviewer for academic journals and the National Institute for Health Research's health technology assessment submissions.
