Hasan Basarir, PhD, is a Research Director of Health Economics at RTI-HS. He has more than 13 years of experience in conducting economic analyses in health care and extensive experience in decision-analytic modeling, statistical analysis, discrete-choice experiments, and patient-reported outcomes. Dr. Basarir has been involved in health technology assessment submissions in both the public and private sectors and has served as a member of an Evidence Review Group for NICE in the UK. He has worked in therapeutic areas, including diabetes, multiple sclerosis, oncology, radiology, ulcerative colitis, asthma, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. He is the Vice Chair of a Diabetes UK research steering group, and a member of ISPOR and HTAi. Dr. Basarir is an Associate Editor of IJTAHC and has published his work extensively in some of the other leading journals in the field, including The BMJ, The Lancet, Medical Decision Making, Value in Health, and PharmacoEconomics. He also acts as a reviewer for academic journals, and the health technology assessment submissions for the NIHR in the UK.
