Rebecca (Becky) MacKay, MPH, is a Research Epidemiologist in the in the Pharmacoepidemiology and Risk Management group of RTI-HS. She has 7 years of experience in the public health field. In her previous work in academia and at the U.S. Centers of Disease Control and prevention, Ms. MacKay acquired experience managing federally funded research projects on infectious diseases. She has co-led the design and implementation of observational studies, which included performing literature reviews, collaborating with subject matter experts, writing standard operating procedures, conducting participant recruitment, overseeing study visits, and performing data analysis.
As a project manager, Ms. MacKay has experience in the different stages of the planning and implementation of research projects such as proposal development, timeline and team management, and financial planning and monitoring. At RTI-HS she has been involved in multiple types of epidemiology projects and coordinated multidisciplinary and multinational project teams. She also assists with reporting study progress both to clients and to regulatory agencies and contributes to dissemination activities.
