Sarah Mitchell is a Director of Evidence Based Medicine at RTI-HS in the Manchester, UK office. Mrs. Mitchell joined RTI- HS as a Trainee Health Economist in 2009 and in 2011 resumed a new role within the Data Analytics and Design Strategy team. Mrs. Mitchell has experience in leading both clinical and economic systematic reviews in a range of therapeutic areas, to HTA standards. She has also contributed towards the development of submissions to the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence. Mrs. Mitchell has project managed several projects incorporating systematic reviews and meta-analyses. Mrs. Mitchell has had an active role in mentoring and training junior staff within the Systematic Review team and has also acted as a systematic review consultant to other groups within RTI-HS. Prior to working with RTI-HS, Mrs. Mitchell studied physiology at the University of Manchester, graduating in 2009. Her studies focused on aspects of human and mammalian physiology, disease, and pharmacology. In her final year of study, she collaborated with the Centre for the History of Science, Technology, and Medicine to complete a project on the organization of English hospitals in the 1950s.
