Carla Franzoni has nearly 2 decades of experience in the pharmaceutical and real world evidence field. She manages complex international studies from feasibility and pilot work through to large multinational postauthorization safety studies, ensuring high standards in planning, delivery, data protection, and stakeholder engagement.
Ms. Franzoni works closely with academic and clinical partners, research networks, and industry sponsors to support efficient, high‑quality evidence generation and ensure strong coordination across multidisciplinary teams. She co‑leads the SIGMA Consortium Office, an alliance of European research centers of excellence in pharmacoepidemiology and regulatory-grade real-world evidence, where she supports strategic alignment and fosters effective collaboration through smooth coordination, communication, and engagement across the network.
Ms. Franzoni was involved in the establishment of the RTI‑HS Barcelona office in 2007 and, in addition to her project‑focused responsibilities, manages the site administration team, contributing to operational consistency and strengthening the administrative foundation that supports both the effective functioning of the office and the work of project teams. She also serves on RTI‑HS’s Project Management Leadership Team, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery in alignment with RTI‑HS’s strategic goals and to the satisfaction of its clients.
Before joining RTI-HS, Ms. Franzoni was a consultant project and team coordinator for the Global Epidemiology, Safety, and Risk Management department at Pfizer.
