Alejandro Vanegas, MS, CPH, is a Senior Project Manager in the Surveys and Observational Studies group at RTI-HS. Mr. Vanegas has over a decade of clinical research experience conducting epidemiological studies and clinical trials in various areas, such as cardiovascular disease, cognitive disorders, oncology, chemoprevention, obesity, and health literacy. He has led teams in the development and implementation of evidence-based health solutions with a focus on health informatics and data analytics. He also has expertise in human subject research methodology and design, as well as an extensive background in institutional review board submissions, data management, and statistical analysis. In addition, he has vast experience in human subject recruitment and conducting interviews, particularly in underrepresented groups. He is an epidemiologist by training, is certified in public health, and has taught epidemiology as an adjunct instructor of public health at the State University of New York.
