The proximity of the TBG deficiency locus to those for Xg, protanomaly and deuteranomaly was studied by linkage analysis. The data were derived from one large family of five generations. No evidence for linkage of TBG deficiency to these other X-chromosome loci was found; the data provide strong evidence against any close linkage.
