The International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) announced yesterday that it had recognized Josephine Mauskopf, PhD, Vice President of Health Economics at RTI Health Solutions, for her extraordinary leadership to the Society. Dr. Mauskopf has been awarded the Marilyn Dix Smith Leadership Award.
Mauskopf said, “Having been a member of ISPOR since its beginning, I was privileged to contribute to the incredible growth of the Society under Marilyn Dix-Smith’s leadership and its successful transition to Nancy Berg. Marilyn’s energy and vision were an inspiration for me over the years and I feel honored to receive this award that bears her name.”
Mauskopf served for eight years as Editor-in-Chief of the journal Value in Health and four years as a reviewer on the Health Care Technology and Decision Sciences Study Section at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. In 2014, she was elected to the ISPOR Board of Directors and served a two-year term.

She also co-chaired two ISPOR Task Forces on Budget Impact Analysis and co-chaired an ISPOR Task Force on Economic Evaluations for Vaccination Programs.
