Meryem Bektas, MBA, PhD, is a Associate Director in the Market Access and Outcomes Strategy group at RTI-HS. She provides research and technical writing support for evidence-based literature reviews, dossiers, slide sets, and manuscripts.
Dr. Bektas has a doctorate in biochemistry and more than 15 years of experience in academic scientific research, publishing, and grant writing. Her research area focused on a novel signaling regulator that she studied in various disease settings, including skin diseases, asthma and allergy, lipid metabolism, and cancer. Dr. Bektas has presented her research in numerous scientific conferences and has published 30 papers in peer-reviewed journals.
Before joining RTI-HS, Dr. Bektas worked as a Senior Research Associate to provide medical/technical writing and to conduct market research and trend analysis for clients in the health care and emerging technology industries.
