Ben Burgess, PhD, is a Senior Research Statistician in the Data Analytics and Design Strategy at RTI-HS in the Manchester, UK office. Prior to joining RTI-HS, Dr Burgess graduated with a PhD in Computational Ecology from University College London, where he was partially supported by a studentship from DeepMind. Dr Burgess has experience in conducting a wide variety of statistical analyses including indirect treatment comparisons, meta-analyses, and survival analyses. Dr Burgess has published research in multiple high impact journals and has presented his research through talks and posters at various conferences.

Dr Burgess has over seven years’ experience in using R to conduct Bayesian or frequentist statistical analyses and to create interactive dashboards. Likewise, Dr Burgess additionally has experience in various other software packages such as Mathematica and SQL. Alongside conducting research, Dr. Burgess has taught statistics and coding to undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as supervising undergraduate dissertation projects.
