It's been fantastic being here at ISPOR Glasgow this year. As a Medical Affairs Specialist, I was fascinated to see how colleagues, health economists, modulars, statisticians, policy experts, all of us have a different way, a nuanced way, of defining what value is. But at the end of the day, all of us are speaking the same language.

How best to showcase patient voice and patient opinion across decision making processes and across the healthcare industry.

So, it's really heartwarming to see the focus on not just generating evidence, but how to position, contextualize, communicate the value of it as effectively as possible.

So, ISPOR Europe 2025 has been great. I've really enjoyed it. I've had a couple posters on medical technologies and then HCA in Germany and in Scotland. I then looked at artificial intelligence being assessed by NICE. So, we had some great discussions and yeah, it was really great time.

We have had great time here at ISPOR 2025 in Glasgow. I took part in some interesting discussions and went to some great sessions on the role of societal perspectives and how we do cost effectiveness analysis. I think the biggest question I'm going to go home thinking about is the intersection between willingness to pay thresholds, cost effectiveness analysis, and budget impacts, in terms of how we evaluate new therapies that are being developed and evaluate them.

The thing that I really enjoyed is how patient centered it’s been. I think that's been nice that it's been throughout and we've been fun section these. I also really liked the digital technology session that we went to and just cool methodology. But also, they had a patient there and he was great. He was really engaging, really funny and nice to see that being valued.

Yeah, I really enjoyed how patient centric it was because it feels more relevant. I really enjoyed learning about different kinds of research other people doing. I think one of my favorite things was the patient centered SIG meeting.

So, three different patients from SIG came together and we discussed the recent EMA reflection paper, and it was great to hear different opinions from different areas of research who were kind of affected by that much later as well. I think a bunch of us are here for the first time.

Yes, we’ve got four or five people here for the first time. It was a really friendly conference, nice set up. And so yeah, that's been a great introduction to the field.

So, some trends that really energized and inspired me this year include the ethical integration of AI to streamline processes to make access quicker, faster, more comprehensive and more representative. So, assets can reach our patients as soon as possible.

My favorite part is getting to interview our clients face-to-face. So, it was really exciting to see them in person for the first time and hopefully again next year.
