Su Bunniran, PhD is a Senior Director in the Surveys and Observational Studies division of RTI-HS. She has demonstrated leadership in conducting primary data collection studies, seamlessly blended with her clinical training in pharmacy. She has designed and implemented multinational, cross-sectional, longitudinal surveys and observational studies in both the United States and globally. She has experience in prospective studies and retrospective claims data, mixed methods, medical chart studies, qualitative and quantitative data collection. Dr. Bunniran has experience in the design of observational research programs, supporting survey development with oversight on the operational elements of observational studies, the analyses, and interpretation of the findings. She is involved with all aspects of data collection, including project management, survey design and implementation, questionnaire development, interview discussion guide development, patient recruitment, data collection, analysis, and reporting. She has experience with electronic, telephone, and paper-and-pencil–based data collection efforts and has led or collaborated on numerous data collection projects involving multidisciplinary teams.

Dr. Bunniran has experience in several therapeutic areas, including Autoimmune, Cardiovascular, CNS/Neurology, Hematology, Men’s Health, Ophthalmology, Oncology, Respiratory, Rheumatology, Transplant, Urological, Vaccines, and Women’s Health. She is a graduate of The University of Mississippi, receiving her BS Pharmaceutical Sciences, MS and PhD focusing on pharmaceutical market research and health outcomes research.  Prior to joining RTI-HS, Dr. Bunniran was a research lead at a large US managed care company, designing and implementing retrospective, prospective and population health intervention studies in the member population. She also has prior experience in marketing research and forecasting as a research consultant for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
