Matthew Cawson is an Associate Director of Health Economics at RTI-HS. Mr. Cawson has 8 years of experience working in the health economics area and developing health economics models in health technology and pharmaceutical products. The results of the health economic models have later been used in health technology assessment (HTA) submissions. Mr. Cawson previously worked for the United Kingdom’s National Health Service (NHS) as a Public Health Intelligence Analyst Specialist with a Primary Care Trust. He was responsible for extracting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets in addition to producing a range of reports, reporting tools, and reporting methodologies to support commissioning decision making relating to primary and secondary care. Mr. Cawson has undertaken and managed projects dealing with HTA submissions, cost-effectiveness and budget-impact modelling, country-specific adaptations, development of conceptual models, systematic literature reviews, burden of illness, and microcosting. Mr. Cawson’s modeling experience includes the disease areas of hemophilia, oncology, Alzheimer’s disease, psoriatic arthritis, rheumatology, and neurological disorders. Mr. Cawson also serves as a peer reviewer for Value in Health.
