Elizabeth La, PhD, is an Associate Director in the Health Economics group at RTI-HS. Dr. La develops decision analytic models, such as cost-effectiveness, cost-utility, and budget-impact models, using Microsoft Excel and Visual Basic for Applications. Prior to joining RTI-HS, Dr. La's research focused on mental health and substance abuse services research, with additional research experience in the therapeutic areas of infectious disease and vaccines, oncology, ocular disease, neurological disorders, and complex chronic conditions. Dr. La's dissertation used econometric methods to examine the effects of North Carolina's state psychiatric hospital waitlist policy on mental health services use. Her research has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, including Psychiatric Quarterly, Administration and Policy in Mental Health and Mental Health Services Research, Psychiatric Services, and HIV Medicine, and presented at various professional conferences.
