Thursday, 15 October, 2:00-3:00 CEST

The ACCESS (vACcine Covid-19 monitoring readinESS) project is conducting preliminary research to identify data sources and methods that can be used in future research to monitor the safety and efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines.  Commissioned by EMA, ACCESS is being performed under a tender composed of several university and other research teams, including RTI Health Solutions (RTI-HS) under the leadership of Utrecht University.

The ACCESS project partners are preparing several protocols to monitor COVID-19 vaccines. On Thursday, Oct 15, 2020 from 2-3 pm CEST, VAC4EU will host a webinar focused on presenting and discussing the methods for three types of safety studies:

  1. Hospital case-based safety studies - Alison Kawai, ScD, Senior Research Epidemiologist with RTI-HS, will be presenting on a protocol template currently under development for a multisite hospital-based self-controlled study to assess specific adverse events following COVID-19 vaccines in Europe.
  2. Rapid assessment and safety evaluation studies using EHR data (UMCU)
  3. Prospective cohort event monitoring using apps  (LAREB)

Please join us. Seats are limited.
