A study featured in the 2014 Annual Report for RTI International, parent company to RTI Health Solutions, found that nalmefene combined with psychosocial support is cost-effective for reducing alcohol consumption in alcohol-dependent patients with high/very high drinking risk levels. Co-authored by Thor-Henrik Brodtkorb, PhD, director of health economics, the study also demonstrated the public health benefit by reducing harmful alcohol-attributable diseases, injuries and deaths.
