At the 16th annual RTI Authors' Awards Dinner held this month, RTI Health Solutions researchers were recognized for their research publishing achievements.
“Researchers publish as validation of years of training and recognition for contributions to their fields,” said Wayne Holden, President, and Chief Executive Officer, RTI International. “The volume of staff members that we are recognizing with these awards speaks highly of your commitment to and motivation toward scientific stature.”
The Authors’ Awards Program was established by the RTI Fellows to recognize research staff members who excel in publishing their research in peer-reviewed journals, books, and other highly visible media.
Award Criteria and Categories
The Authors’ Awards comprise eight categories, with several staff members receiving an award in more than one category:
- Career Author: Author or co-author with an average of at least one publication per year since receiving a terminal degree more than 10 years ago.
- Early Career Author: Author or co-author of seven or more peer-reviewed articles in the 10-year period since receiving a terminal degree.
- Highly Published Author: Author or co-author of three or more peer-reviewed articles, book chapters or RTI Press publications published during 2018.
- Highly Cited Author: Author or co-author of one or more articles published during the past 10 years that reached the 50-citation or more threshold in 2018. Recognition is given only once for each paper.
