During American Heart Month, RTI-HS is joining with patient advocacy groups and the medical, research, and pharmaceutical industries in raising awareness for the continued need for research to support people affected by cardiovascular disease.
Our highly-trained staff of researchers have brought their expertise to over 250 projects researching cardiovascular disease, treatments, and complications and comorbidities of the disease. Our team includes Allen Mangel, MD, PhD, and Executive Vice President of RTI-HS who is a co-author on recent research that provides support for a new understanding of the role that the aorta plays in the cardiac cycle.
Additionally, our research includes benefit-risk preference studies, meta-analysis, observational studies and economic burden of illness studies. We have prepared epidemiology reports for orphan drug applications and pediatric investigational plans, and regularly perform measurement of patient preferences for treatment options and create reimbursement and value communication strategies.
